The Authorities of Nasarawa State University, NSUK has confirmed Prof. Suleiman Bala Mohammed as the vice Chancellor of the University.
The Visitor to Nasarawa State University, Keffi, His Excellency Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has Confirmed Prof. Suleiman Bala Mohammed as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the University, effective 3rd April, 2019.
Prof. Suleiman before his appointment, was the Acting Vice Chancellor of the Institution since October 8, 2018.
According to a document articulating the Vice Chancellor’s vision, his intention is to ensure that “NSUK become a respected catalyst for wealth creation and socio-economic development and advancement in the society at large.
Under his administration, he said, effort will be geared towards the achievement of goals and objectives that will consolidate on the gains of the last five years and build for the succeeding era.
Prof. Suleiman said his ambition is “to relentlessly pursue institutional effectiveness and operate a performance-based university management and governance system.
“Sustain and enhance excellence in Teaching, Learning and Research in a friendly and green environment.
“Drive innovations in the provision of access to the University’s programmes, using technology-driven pedagogical techniques with relevant curriculum content, and quality control.
“Make innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and social service the hallmark of our graduates”, he added.
Meanwhile, Prof. Suleiman Bala Mohammed, this morning, officially resumed duty as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Clad in immaculate white kaftan and cap to fit, the renowned unionist and scholar fondly refered to as “Comrade Professor”, received tens of staff and well-wishers who came to congratulate him on his appointment.
His appointment followed recommendation from the Governing Council of the University.
