It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly students of Delta State who are in tertiary institutions in the country that the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board will on Friday February 15, 2019 open its site for Online Registration of Students for the State Governments’ 2018/2019 Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS). The site closes on Friday March 13, 2019.
The Board was established in August, 2013 from the Department of Higher Education in the then Ministry of Education with a clear mandate to be a leader in support of the pursuits of academic excellence and to make bursary and scholarship easy and readily accessible to all our students across the globe using modern technologies in the delivery of our services.
The policy thrust of the Board has been to find better ways and means of improving and fast tracking the activities of the Board to deliver on its mandate and one of such ways is to better the process of delivery our students’ special Assistance Scheme.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD
The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board is saddled with the following responsibilities among others.
The Board is presenting structured into four main departments as follows:

All applicants must:
■ Be of Delta State Origin;
■ Have registered with National Identification Management Commission (NIMC);
■ Either be in Second year or above (200 to 500 level) in the Universities or;
■ Be in ND II and HND II in the Polytechnics/Mono-technics;
■ Be in 200 level and above for Colleges of Education Students;
■ Have a CGPA of 2.20 and above in the previous academic year’s examination.
All eligible Students advised to
I. Log on to www.dsbsb.dl.gov.ng then click on Apply here to login and revalidate their details for old Students or submit bursary application form for new Students;
II. Email printed and signed copy of the student’s Acknowledgement Card to email@example.com to complete the Bursary Registration.
All applications must be processed and submitted online. Double application is grounds for disqualification.

Important Notice For Existing Applicants
Existing applicants still in school should;
1. Login with their existing applicant ID and password.
2. Click on “Make Payment” at the left menu to make payment.
3. Click on “2018/2019 Application” menu after you’ve successfully made the payment to re-apply.
NOTE: Update your session and CGPA as multiple applications will attract automatic disqualification.
